After another great year, we are proud to announce that the Glyfada Toastmasters club has achieved the Select Distinguished ClubStatus. This is a great motivation for our new board of officers that has been elected on June 30th 2014 for the 2014-2015 year:

Short Intros
| Metaxia Kritsidima – President Metaxia received her Bachelor Degree in Dentistry from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has been awarded an MSc degree in Community Dental Practice by the University of London. She developed her career in GDP, General Dental Practice and in Dental Clinic Management. She is drawn in developing and improving communication skills to promote oral health. Metaxia enjoys windsurfing, mountain biking and trekking. |
 Foteini Mylara – VP of Education Foteini, born in Athens, has studied Economics in National Kapodestrian University of Athens and Management Business Administration in Hellenic American University. The last seven years, she is being working in the accounting department of a big advertising company. She is interested in dancing and loves travelling. The last three years, she is a member of Toastmasters Glyfada’s Club |
| Anna Fatovich – VP of Membership Anna is an Australian artist and illustrator, running her own small arts business from her studio in Athens. Her work covers a range of fields, including painting, graphics, screen printing and jewellery making. When not making things, she likes looking at things other people made in museums and galleries, looking at things that grow on mountainsides and appreciating the fine craftsmanship of chocolate. |
| Eliza Tsolakou – VP of Public Relations Eliza studied Marketing Management in the American College of Greece and holds an MBA degree from ALBA Graduate Business School. She developed her career in marketing in various multinational companies until she was drawn in the advertising and event management business. Eliza enjoys photography, interior design, sea traveling, food, wine and being with friends. |
| Alexandra Papageorgiou – Treasurer Alexandra is a Sales consultant for Cambridge University Press and she has been a Toastmaster and member of Toastmasters in Glyfada for the past 3 years. Alexandra loves nature and enjoys swimming all year round. She also likes to enjoy good food and Greek wine varieties with friends. |
| Eley Yuan – Secretary Eley is a Chinese living in Athens. She is now running a cultural exchange studio named “Meet Culture” in Athens for promoting the Hellenic – Chinese culture exchange. She is a Guqin and Guzheng (two kinds of Chinese traditional instruments) teacher. Previously in China she was the marketing trainee of Unilever but she was determined to make use of her marketing skill to promote culture activities between these two ancient countries after she came to Greece. In leisure time, she loves traveling, making coffee and playing Guqin/Guzheng as well as being with friends. |
| John Antassouras – Sergeant at Arms John is a solutions engineer, with studies in the fields of electronics and automatic control and systems engineering, and holds an MSc degree in Control Systems from the University of Sheffield. For the past eight years he is running his own company providing solutions and support in automotive aftermarket, communications, and other engineering business fields. He is constantly monitoring advances in technology, believes in self-improvement and is attracted by the fields of communication, negotiation and leadership. John enjoys windsurfing, mountain biking, sunny days and all the simple pleasures life can offer. |
